Louisiana Assembly on School‑Based Health Care

The Louisiana Assembly on School-Based Health Care promotes the health and academic success of students and the economic development of communities by increasing access to quality healthcare and support services provided by school health centers. The Assembly pursues this mission by advocating public policies that support school-based health centers. We build support among policy makers at the national, state and local levels for sustainability of existing sites and expansion of the school-based health care model. We educate students, parents and community leaders to the mission of school-based health centers and use their input to create more responsive facilities. And we bring technical expertise to new and established centers to maximize their impact.
